Skirt Pattern Cutting weekend workshop- Dates for Spring Summer 2026 to be confirmed

This course is run as a weekend course. You will learn how to take the correct body measurements to draft a basic straight pencil skirt. This is then used to make a paper pattern from, which is cut out in calico or similar fabric, stitched together into a mock up known as a toile. Fitting adjustments are then made to your exact body type and these are transferred back to the original draft pattern. Time permitting, the tutor will demonstrate simple ways to adapt your basic skirt pattern that enables you to produce different skirt styles that fit you correctly.

This course is suitable for A level or BTEC Diploma Fashion and Textile students and for university Fashion Undergraduates seeking to increase their knowledge of pattern cutting methods used in the Fashion Industry.

Course fee is £130.00 including materials for pattern drafting and toiles.
